The Invertebrates Workshop at the Zoo has been designed for students in 2nd and 3rd cycle of primary school in which they will discover the complexity and diversity of living beings, especially invertebrates, through a highly participative activity.

OBJECTIVES

With respect to knowledge, facts and ideas:

Introduce the concepts of classification and phyla of living beings.
Introduce biology and ecology of invertebrates.

With respect to procedures:

Analyse and understand the diversity of mechanisms that invertebrates have to survive.

With respect to attitudes and values:

To foster respect for animals through being better informed.
