Curriculum space

The objective of the workshops organised by the Barcelona Zoo for preschool students are:

Objectives
To identify the body parts of animals and their functions.
To distinguish the outer layers: hair, scales and feathers.
To learn which foods are best for each animal.
To distinguish how they move differently.
To introduce the concept of wild and/or domestic animals.

In these workshops, the children will learn to tell the different animals apart and to observe them carefully. Furthermore, through stories and anecdotes about the animals in question and, in some cases, by imitating their characteristic sounds and movements, students will learn how these species live.

Defence of the environment and respect for animals is also fostered by their increased knowledge.
