Educational programmes

We at the Barcelona Zoo have designed a special educational programme for preschool students. They allow the youngest kids to learn more about their favourite animals.

The Barcelona Zoo reserves the right to modify or cancel the scheduled activities, unless there is a sufficient number of participants or if any incident occurs that justifies it.

We Work by Projects Workshop

This activity is customised for the students, since they themselves pick the animal or animals that they want to learn about.

Wild Animals Workshop

Through different magnetised puzzles, students learn about the three broad environments (air, water and land) and the food given to four animals, such as macaws, lions, fish, dolphins or elephants.

Farmyard Animals Workshop

Using a scale model of a traditional farm and magnetised puzzles, students learn about animals such as rabbits, cows, chickens, pigs, sheep and the Catalan burro.

This workshop is a combination of different activities. On the one hand, the students learn about the differences between domestic and wild animals and, on the other, visit the pony facilities at the Zoo.
