Organisms and their relationship to the environment.

OBJECTIVES

With respect to knowledge, facts and ideas:

  • Study the parts of the body of rabbits, cows, hens, lambs and pigs.
  • Introduction to the concept of farmyard animal.
  • Discover the products that these animals provide to man.
  • Match objects and foods to the farmyard animals.
  • Comparison of a traditional farm and a modern farm.


With respect to procedures:

  • Learn to treat the animals studied with care and affection.
  • Give suitable foods to each animal.
  • Deduce the products and foods that are obtained from each animal.

With respect to attitudes and values:

  •  Foster respect for animals through better knowledge of them.
