Friends of the Zoo

Become a volunteer at the Barcelona Zoo! If you are concerned about protecting flora and fauna and are worried about the environment, now you can help us.

The Friends of the Zoo are volunteers who help out with extracurricular activities offered by the Education Department at the Zoo and also in citizen services and watching over animals.

Help is preferentially needed on weekends and holidays from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and during school holidays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Volunteers are trained in a series of sessions that must be attended, which include their exact duties and thorough tours of the Zoo, in order to get to know the Zoo inside and out.

The Friends of the Zoo must commit to working a minimum of 3 days a month (from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm) and a minimum of 5 Zoo Day Camps per year (school holidays from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm).
