Animal Reproduction Workshop

Suggestions for activities to do after the Animal Reproduction Workshop at the Barcelona Zoo: 

Natural sciences space:    

• Do the worksheets at school that are included in the Animal Reproduction workbook.
• Make murals with the photos of animals collected, grouping them according to reproduction types. 
• Pick a species and explain its entire reproduction process, from mating to caring for the offspring. 
• Write and/or represent stories about reproduction strategies that are collected or invented by the students, which contain information learned during the activity.  
• Make a book or album about animals that contains everything learned.
• Look for similarities and differences between different oviparous vertebrates, for example platypuses, loggerhead turtles and ostriches.  

Evaluation of learning obtained: 

• When looking at different animals, students should be able to state: their reproduction type and the strategies used to obtain offspring.
