Catalan Fauna Workshop

Suggestions for activities to do after the Catalan Fauna Workshop at the Barcelona Zoo:  

Social and natural sciences space: 

• Make murals with the photos of animals collected, grouping them by different criteria: natural/urban setting, conservation status of the species, classification according to natural habitat, etc. 
• Make the students prepare "lectures", individually or in groups, to present to their classmates.  
• Write and/or represent stories about the native fauna invented by the students, which contain information learned during the activity.  
• Make a book or album about animals that contains everything learned.
• Make maps showing the distribution of Catalan species using maps of Europe and Africa.  

Evaluation of learning obtained: 

• When looking at the photograph of an animals, students must establish: if it is autochthonous or not, the type of animal, the element in which it moves, the food it eats, how it reproduces and its conservation status in nature.
