Research project

The Research Project at the Zoo lets post secondary school students design and do their research work with the help and supervision of Zoo educators (biologists) and with the invaluable support of our animals.
Common sessions:  

Session 1 

Presentation of the work plan offered by the department, division of the students according to the subjects they pick and tour of the Zoo led by a Zoo educator (biologist), in which they will receive explanations about the possibilities provided by different species.  

Session 2 

This session will be different for each group, in which the biological and ethological determinants of each species are explained for the design of data log sheets.  

Session 3 

Meeting with the person in charge of the section on which the student is doing the project, so that students have the chance to interview him and ask him about issues about handling and biology that they deem suitable.   

Consultation sessions 

Every Wednesday from 3.00 to 5.00 pm, students can come to the Zoo to consult bibliographies, works and magazines or to ask for advice if necessary.  

Observation sessions

All students will receive a card that grants entry to the Zoo to make observations whenever they want and at the times that are best for them. The card is valid for three months.
