Research project

To get the most out of the Research Project, we suggest doing the following at school before starting the project:  

To understand the students’ interests and increase motivation about the animals:

• Make a list of the different animals and/or subjects that the work will focus on. 
• Agree upon a work plan and how to approach the content with the tutor. 
• Do a research project for bibliographical information by Internet or by another means about the selected animal or topic. 
• Draw up a draft work schedule that includes: Timelines for searching for information, for observations and data collection, for analysing data, for writing and drawing up results, for preparing materials for the project and for presentation (always leaving a gap for unforeseen events). 

To observe animals: 

• Look for a documentary, CD or other information on electronic support to be able to observe the animal before coming to see it at the Zoo.

• Planned structuring of the research project.
