Activity designed for post secondary school students.

In this visit, students learn about the main characteristics of birds. Through the Zoo’s collection, which includes representative species from the five continents, they will have the unique opportunity to study and work with exotic and autochthonous birds, which we almost never see in our environment. Their study lets students understand adaptation to the element of air, the most common types of food, the forms of life and the situation of risk for conserving this group in nature.

Thus, for example, the particular feature provided by the grey heron, with the largest colony in Catalonia housed at our Zoo, can be employed to focus the students' attention. We therefore have a whole series of activities related to this bird.

When the activity finishes, the group can spend the rest of the day at the Zoo, until closing time.
