The Animal Adaptations Workshop at the Zoo teaches the adaptations of different animal species in our collection in an entertaining manner adapted to the students' ages:

1.- Short presentation of the different types of adaptations.

2.- Observation and handling of different objects coming from animals in our collection.

3.- Guided tour by a Zoo educator (biologist) to learn more about the following contents:

Adaptations to the habitat: existence of land, flight and swimming animals.
Comparison of the different types of movement and types of limbs depending on the medium in which they move.
Observation of the different adaptations for feeding.
Adaptations to extreme environmental conditions.
Introduction to the concept of adaptive convergence.
Identification of animals’ habitats according to their characteristics.
