The Vertebrate Nutrition & Reproduction Workshop at the Zoo has been designed as a participative activity for students in year 1, 2, 3 and 4 of compulsory secondary school (ESO). They study the complexity and diversity of the reproductive and feeding strategies of the vertebrates.

With respect to knowledge, facts and ideas:

Introduce the concepts of capturing food, digestion, reproduction and genetic heredity.

Analyse and understand the diversity of mechanisms that vertebrates have to feed themselves and reproduce.

With respect to attitudes and values:

To foster respect for animals through being better informed.
