The Invertebrates Workshop at the Zoo reveals the complexity of classifying living beings.

This workshop is presented in a specially equipped classroom, where the educator (biologist) explains the outline of the activity and supervises its running.

The group is divided into five sub-groups, with each one working on different aspects about invertebrates with the support of a study guide and materials (which include surprise boxes). All students do different exercises.

Video on the Atlas moth.
Classification of the animal kingdom.
Arthropod phylum.
Mollusc phylum: gastropods and bivalves.
Echinoderm phylum.
Observation using magnifying glasses.

The tour of the grounds is done with the teacher (with the assistance of the audio guide provided by the Zoo).
