The Lady with the Umbrella

Barcelona Zoo provides the opportunity to hold special celebrations in a unique, magic environment: the Dama del Paraguas (The Lady with the Umbrella) area.

Created on the occasion of the 1888 Universal Exhibition by J. Roig i Solé, this glazed, air conditioned hall surrounded by gardens is the ideal location for holding family celebrations, company events, weddings, conventions, training days and company celebrations that require a quiet and original venue in the centre of the city.  Dinners, and aperitif and cocktail parties can be held in the garden, where there is one of Barcelona's most representative fountains, the Dama del Paraguas (the Lady with the Umbrella), from which this facility derives its name. We can provide catering for these occasions inspired by the Mediterranean diet, with creative seasonal dishes. 

 If, in addition, you wish to surprise your guests, you can complete your special celebration with a private visit to the zoo.  Consult the terms and conditions and the availability of the area.
