Description

The Long-tailed field mouse is one of the most ubiquitous non-anthropic mammals, as it doesn’t require strict environmental conditions and is highly adaptable and thus found in many places. Although omnivorous, it consumes a lot of seeds and forest fruits. Its extremely important role in the food chain must be mentioned. This micromammal is prey to both carnivores and birds of prey, particularly nocturnal ones, which control and balance the populations of these prolific rodents.
