The Sahel savannah
Did you know that the Sahel savannah covers some twelve countries in the North of Africa? And that it has only two seasons each year?
In this great activity for the littlest family members on Saturday morning, Zoo educators, who are professionals in the field of natural sciences and have lots of experience teaching, will explain to the boys and girls that this African habitat is currently severely threatened for different reasons, and what the Zoo is doing to improve this situation.
Access: Barcelona Zoo Department of Education, Passeig de Circumval·lació, 3
Schedule: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
What do we do?
During their journey at the Zoo, the littler explorers make will discover the animals which live in the savannah --elephants, giraffes, gazelles, oryx, …-- and write everything down on the notebook we will give them, with space for their findings and entertaining puzzles. They will also make a craft that they can take with them as a souvenir of their beastly adventure! Bring them to learn and work with us for nature!
