Zoo animals also sign up for the Chestnut fest! These days their keepers prepare special delicacies for them which serve as stimuli and distraction. These activities, which we call behavioural enrichment, are very important for the welfare of animals living in zoos. On this occasion, following the tradition, we have “customized” them using chestnuts, yams and pumpkins.
