The Asian Rainforest
How is a rainforest different from other habitats? What’s the vegetation like? Are all rainforests the same, or does it depend on the continent? Is it easy to hide in them?
In this ideal Saturday morning activity for the youngest members of the family, children can explore Asia’s rainforests and meet some of the largest and most spectacular animals that live there, like tigers and orangutans, which are critically endangered. They’ll be guided by the Zoo’s educators - professionals in the field of natural sciences, who are really enthusiastic, and have lots of experience running teaching activities.
As they journey around the Zoo, the young explorers will make many discoveries, which they can record in the workbook that we’ll give them, with space for their own findings and also some puzzles. They’ll make something with their own hands, which they can take away as a souvenir of a wild adventure! Bring them along to learn and work with us to protect nature.
