Learn about behavioural enrichment at the Zoo I

Zoo Barcelona

The secrets of the Zoo

Do you know what we do to make sure our animals get the stimulation they need? Come along with your family and discover the secrets of the Zoo! You’ll all have an unforgettable Zoo experience like you’ve never seen before!

Behavioural enrichment is a dynamic process which aims to enhance the behaviour of our animals by giving each species more opportunities to develop their own habits and abilities. The animals look at and play with different objects that are placed occasionally or permanently in their enclosures. The more varied the things we give them to do, the better!

Access: Department of Education. Passeig de Circumval·lació, 3

Schedule: 10:00 to 12:30

What do we do?

Throughout the morning, the Zoo’s educators will show you the different enrichment techniques we use with the mammals of the Zoo and we’ll ask you to help us do them. Come along to learn and work with us to protect nature!
